Join Lucille Eddy, Program Director for Healwell and Clinical Supervisor for Hospital/Oncology Massage at The Teal Center, for a 2-hour interactive lecture about providing massage for pediatric patients in the hospital. Drawing on years of practice and supervision, Lucille will lead participants in a discussion of the many ways hospital stays for children are different than for adults.
Together you'll explore how professionally licensed touch therapists can be truly integrated members of a child's care team, providing excellent, compassionate service and communicating professionally and effectively with pediatric patients, family members (include siblings), and other healthcare professionals.
Bring your experience (or lack thereof) with pediatric massage, and your questions about working in the hospital setting and meeting HIPAA-compliance requirements.
